“Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal”
Awarded to Roland K. Pirker for “45 years of volunteer work in Canada” by the Hon. David McGuinty, MP for Ottawa South, in a ceremony at the R.A. Centre on 23 February 2013.

“GO FOR GOLD”
Awarded to Roland K. Pirker on June 29, 2012 at noon in Vienna in the Residence of the Canadian Ambassador to Austria, H.E. John Barrett. Minister Hon. Diane Ablonczy handed the award to Prof. Dr. Heinz Gaernter, on behalf of Roland, who was unable to attend the ceremony.

“DAS EHRENZEICHEN DES LANDES KÄRNTEN”
The medal was presented in Klagenfurt at the Spiegelsaal at a ceremony by the Deputy Premier of Carinthia Landesrat Gerhard Dörfler and Landrat Josef Martinz on August 29, 2008.

“DAS GOLDENE EHRENZEICHEN DES AUSLANDSÖSTERREICHER-WELTBUNDES”
The medal was received at the Ottawa Congress Centre during the “Austrian Symposium & Cultural Celebrations” and awarded by AÖWB President Dipl. Kfm. Ing. Gustav Chlestil on May 22, 2005.

“DAS GOLDENE EHRENZEICHEN FÜR VERDIENSTE UM DIE REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH”
“The Medal of Merit in Gold from the Republic of Austria” was awarded on June 11, 2004 through Austrian Ambassador H.E. Dr. Otto Ditz in Rockcliffe, Ontario.

Austria’s Foreign Minister Dr. Benita Ferrero-Waldner awarded the Medal to R.K. Pirker at a ceremony, Wednesday, November 20, 2002, at 4 p.m., at the Federal Chancellery in Vienna, Austria (Bundeskanzleramt, Kongress-Saal, Ballhausplatz 2, 1040 Wien).

For CBC OTTAWA, promotional commercials to entice visitors to come to the National Aviation Museum in Ottawa, category commercials in a Television Campaign, Award of Excellence, at the 16th Annual Advertising and Sales Association of Ottawa, Ottawa 1996.

“THE DESERT WITH TOO MUCH WATER”
For the CANADIAN INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AGENCY and the AGA KHAN FOUNDATION CANADA, documentary showing the struggles to survive of farmers and their children in the Pakistani desert Won the Bronze Apple Award at the National Education Film & Video Festival, Oakland, California, 1994.

For CBC PRODUCTIONS OTTAWA and for BLINDS OF ALL KINDS 16 mm film, 30 sec., a commercial on a “child-safe pulley,”

awarded by the Television Bureau of Canada, Toronto, 1993.

For NATIONAL CAPITAL COMMISSION in Ottawa, documentary-promo for the Sponsorship Solicitation Program, 1/2" Betacam, 12 min., Winner of Gold Award at the International Festival Association Conference held in Rotterdam, Holland, Sept. 1992.

For the TELECOMMUNICATIONS RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF ONTARIO, a promotional drama to encourage High School Students to become engineers,
