Canadian Astronauts Dr. Robert (Bob) Thirsk, shot on location in Dallas, Texas (Sept. 2008), and Chris Hatfield, in Montreal (October 2008), are seen while in training. Shot five podcasts for the internet, to encourage the next generation of Canadian Astronauts to follow in their footsteps. Background and information were shot before Dr. Thirsk visited the ISS (International Space Station). The videos were shown during Dr. Thirsk’s six-month stay (May 27 to November 2009) on the ISS. Chris Hatfield was photographed while on standby to fill in for Thirsk in case of emergency.
